Saving The Alpacas
Welcome to Save the Alpacas!
A group of monsters kidnapped some Alpacas from the Alpaca Kingdom because they were jealous of all the Alpacas Fur. You must go and rescue them from the Monsters Castle before its too late!
Controls:
R/L SHIFT or NUM 0 - Shoot
Arrow Keys - Aim
A, D - Move
Space - Jump
How To Play:
Find & Destroy the Pedestals to open the doors and find all the Alpacas! Watch out for spinning saws and goopy monsters!
About:
This game was made for the 2021 Secret Santa Jam. I decided to use Unity as while I prefer Unreal overall I know it's 2d is somewhat lackluster. This was the first real 2D game I have made in Unity, I made a game entirely in UI using Unity before, and while I ran into a few oddities about Unity it did okay overall. I ended up being quite a bit busier during the jam than I expected so I only got a few days to work on the game, but hopefully its still fun!

you need to rethink the controls: every time one shoots while moving right it bookmarks the game, which is mighty distracting. (perhaps numpad 0/ins for shoot instead of ctrl)
I'm not sure how I managed to never have the problem in my several tests, but I changed it to Num 0 or Shift key so it should be good now!
